In the heart of Tioga County is the Ranch House Getaway, often referred to as a hidden gem by anyone who visits this special place in the Pine Creek Valley and PA grand Canyon landscape of the Pennsylvania Wilds.

Our Ranch House Getaway is our guesthouse just a short distance from our homestead, and we open it up to visitors as a short-term rental for travelers. It truly delivers on the promise of a tranquil and fulfilling getaway for everyone, from energetic toddlers to seasoned travelers.

The home is nestled in the mountains on our working horse and cattle ranch. Depending on the time of year, guests are offered tours, with opportunities to see our operation and animals. Some of our guests’ favorite things to do are meeting and feeding the horses, seeing the wildlife in comfort from inside the home, on the back deck, and sitting by the different fire pits.

It's not just a place… It's an experience, a blend of natural beauty and charming small-town hospitality that resonates with every generation.

We have had guests travel in from all over and they’ve each fallen in love with our location and what we offer for different reasons.

For some visitors, it’s an experience they’ve never had before. For those who grew up in the hustle and bustle of a city, spending some time at our Ranch House is unlike anything they’ve ever done. Bird sing from the trees, crickets chirp at twilight, thousands of stars sparkle in the sky, and nature is literally just steps from the front door.

For others, especially older generations, it’s a chance to reconnect with a lifestyle they might have thought was lost. Time moves a little slower here. Cattle and horses wander in the fields around the home. Hard work is evident in every crevice of this working ranch, and visitors are invited to witness it firsthand.

For families, it’s an opportunity to get to know each other and make memories together. Cell phones are often laid aside in favor of board games and cards. Children make their first s’mores around the firepit, blow bubbles, and run barefoot through the grass.

For couples, there’s nothing better than relaxing with your sweetheart. Disconnect from the world while you unwind in the hot tub, sip on a glass of wine, and watch the sun set over the mountains in the Pine Creek Valley.

Our guesthouse is located out in the country, but a short drive to town where there are restaurants, stores, shops and boutiques. The Ranch House Getaway works with many local establishments and provides a local touch whenever possible. We leave menus, coupons, and discounts for some of our local eateries, wineries, and shops. Of course, we’re always happy to give advice and recommendations for places to visit and things to do during your stay.

We leave extra treats and gifts for all ages: a local dessert, s’mores bar, bubbles and outdoor toys for children, and many different amenities! You’ll never be bored, and you’ll feel taken care of and pampered.

We’re happy to invite you to our guesthouse, because it’s a comforting place that feels like you’re part of the family. If you need us, we’re just a phone call away. Otherwise, you have all the privacy you want and space to make yourself truly at home.

We have something special that we feel needs to be shared with others. Including our own children, we are a 3rd- and 4th-generation farm. It’s in our blood to raise animals, grow crops, live off of the land. All of these qualities are becoming a thing of the past, and we invite you to get a little closer to nature while you’re here.

Of course, working a ranch is not for the faint of heart. Yes, there is blood and sweat and tears sometimes (and not a lot of sleep during certain seasons), but there’s a happiness in all of the hard work. Our children are taught valuable lessons, and our family is closer because of it.

There is a sense of accomplishment teaching your children how to raise animals, run equipment, respecting the land and knowing how to live off the land. We take pride in gardening, preserving food for the winter months, hunting, and fishing. We are a team effort, and we couldn’t be happier to show others who we are and what all we do.

With little to no light pollution the Night time skies are filled with stars and when mother nature shows off her beauty with the Northern lights they can often be seen on our ranch!!

From the front of the home, guests love seeing the sunrise and enjoy a cup of coffee while listening to the birds chirp and sing.

Our horses and cattle are rotated throug out the year to different pastures. You can often see some from the living room of the ranch house !

The Sunsets are magical here, and some guests see us working hard with our family during hay season.
